"OFF THE GRID" MIXTAPE - PRODUCER DOJO

TRAP JESUS CURATED

CYPHER 011 –

“OFF THE GRID” MIXTAPE

AND DELIVERS AN

“ALL KILLER NO FILLER”

16 MINUTE MIX OF

WONKY GOODNESS.

Spiderhound from Producer Dojo asked me some good questions about curating this cypher, read the full interview here:

TRAP JESUS SAVES US

FROM UNQUANTIZED BEATS

This Cypher is all about getting off the (quantize) grid! Our team explored the wonky world of swing, shuffle, groove, and 'the pocket'. We broke free of the soulless, robotic constraints of 100% quantization and HUMANIZED our music. This is an 'All Killer No Filler’ mix so its short and sweet, 16 songs in 16 minutes! This is my first time hosting and curating a cypher for the Dojo and I’m so grateful for the experience, I learned so much. Big ups to all my Ninjas who made the tape, thanks to all of you this came out incredible! - Trap Jesus

And this cypher features two new Trap Jesus singles:

Love step is a happy go lucky dance romance between a sweet little flute and a gritty little bass wub.

I also teamed up with my fellow Producer Dojo Ninja Soliloquy at my studio in Seattle to pull out all the wonky stops on Reese Witherknife: it’s sharp and dangerous, but also fun and sexy!
